Join us for a special presentation from th e Indianapolis Opera's Sing Me A Story \;series\, which brings the pow er of opera to children and their families. This year's opera\, \;Cami lla Paints the Town\, tells the story of Camilla the Chameleon\, who has o nly ever known a world of black and white. But one day\, she discovers her colors and begins to see the world with a newfound wonder. Everyone she m eets finds the colorful way she sees things to be both intriguing and perh aps a little scary. In the end\, will Camilla's new friends see the beauty in a fresh perspective?
\nOften inspired by fairy tales and fables\ , each children's opera in the Sing Me A Story series has a moral at the c enter of its story. Children are not only exposed to the thrill of live op era singing but also given the opportunity to learn about important topics like bullying\, overcoming fears\, acceptance\, and making new friends.\n
