  the day of the program. We have a&nbsp\;limited&nbsp\;number of available
  time slots. Readers can sign up for a time slot starting at 4:15 p.m. at 
 the Information Desk. </strong></p>\n<p>Each reader will have&nbsp\;ten mi
 nutes&nbsp\;to read one-on-one with the therapy dog. We encourage each chi
 ld to participate independently without their adult or sibling(s)\, but we
  understand that some children feel more comfortable with their grown up.<
 /p>\n<p>Read to a Dog programs provide elementary-aged children with a cha
 nce to practice reading aloud and building their confidence during one-on-
 one reading sessions with a certified therapy dog. Bring your own book or 
 choose one from our collection! Children can read books in any language th
 ey would like to practice in.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>For children ages 5

  Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to partici
 pants within the suggested age range of the program. Adults attending a pr
 ogram intended for children must have an accompanying child.</p>\n<hr />\n
