 inspiring women. Join us for a special storytime and craft in honor of Geo
 rgia Gilmore\, a hidden figure of the civil rights movement. Featuring the
  book&nbsp\;<em>Pies from Nowhere: How Georgia Gilmore Sustained the Montg
 omery Bus Boycott&nbsp\;</em>by Dee Romito\, children will learn the story
  of Georgia Gilmore who organized the Club from Nowhere and cooked and bak
 ed to fund-raise for the bus boycott. There will be a playdough activity a
 nd crafts to accompany the story.</p>\n<p>This is a free family event\, ap
 propriate for all ages. No registration needed.</p>\n<p>About The Yellow R
 oses: The Yellow Roses is an organization that empowers young people to pa
 rticipate in their democracy\, even if they are too young to vote. Since 2
 020\, The Yellow Roses have been organizing community events that bring to
 gether families for service learning projects\, non-partisan "get out the 
 vote" events\, social justice story times\, and local park clean-ups. The 
 name "The Yellow Roses" comes from the women's suffrage movement\, when pe
 ople wore yellow roses to demonstrate their support for voting equality.&n
 bsp\;</p>\n<p>Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch)&
 nbsp\;is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the pro
 gram. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accomp
 anied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must h
