In this 2 hour workshop specifically for t eens\, we&rsquo\;ll create a mini nature journal that helps teach focused attention and mindfulness. We'll use author Betty Edward's Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain \;methods through artistic expression (drawing s)\, combined with scientific descriptions (words and numbers) to record o bservations. The key to developing a closer connection with nature is deli berately enhancing powers of observation and wonder. We&rsquo\;ll explore methods that field naturalists use to help notice more\, remember their ob servations\, and kindle further curiosity and exploration by "bringing nat ure in".
