 Day\, Juneteenth recognizes that on June 19\, 1865\, a Union general arriv
 ed in Galveston\, Texas\, with the news that the Civil War had ended and t
 hat all enslaved African Americans were to be set free. The following year
 \, the people of Galveston held a celebration to mark the occasion\, fille
 d with food\, music\, ceremony\, and communion. That spirit of remembrance
  and community continues today.</p>\n<p><strong>🗓 Scavenger Hunt 
 Dates:</strong><br />June 15\, 2026 at 12:00 PM through June 18\, 2026 at 
 6:00 PM<br />Participation and prizes available while supplies last.</p>\n
