During this presentation\, participants wi ll learn practical and simple steps to take when incorporating genetic evi dence\; review genetic genealogy basics\, i.e.\, who and where to test (wi th different types of DNA tests)\; common research pitfalls to avoid\; and development of targeted testing plans when additional test takers are req uired. Research strategies will be tailored to African American family res earch and presented in an informative storytelling style.

Adrienne &rsquo\;s delivery of genetic genealogy processes and materials can be ben eficial for many with an interest in DNA and African American genealogy.\n

Adrienne Abiodun is a professional genealogist loc ated outside of Tampa\, Florida. Combined\, her personal and professional genealogical pursuits span over two decades. Adrienne is an Advanced DNA r esearcher with Legacy Tree Genealogists. She is a member of the Florida Ge nealogical Society in addition to the following lineage organizations: Dau ghters of Union Veterans of the Civil War (DUVCW)\, Sons and Daughters of the United States Middle Passage (SDUSMP)\, and Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Adrienne&rsquo\;s niche research areas include Unknown P arentage (DNA)\, African American\, Historical U.S. Deep South (traditiona l and DNA)\, Antebellum South\, Colonial\, Lineage Society and more. \ ;

When Adrienne is not researching or giving presentations\, she e njoys spending time with her two favorite DNA matches - her two children N aomi (14) and Oneil (12).
