Join us for an intergalactic adventure fil led with cosmic crafts and games. During our space party we'll be making r ocket ships and alien spacecrafts\, designing astronaut helmets\, tossing asteroids\, and more! Our celestial event will conclude with a librarian r ocket ship race to see which team of librarians are the fastest in the gal axy.
\n\nWe are excited to host Intergalactic Texture Rubbing s with artist Daniel Mariotti at this event.
\nParticipants will cre ate futuristic-inspired drawings using laser-engraved objects and texture plates. By placing paper over these surfaces and using drawing tools to re veal patterns\, participants will build compositions that combine organic shapes with glitch-like repetition and distortion.
\nDaniel will int roduce how his work explores the overlap between natural forms and digital processes\, encouraging participants to experiment with layering\, overla pping\, and repeating patterns to create images that feel both familiar an d futuristic.
