Presented by Black Artists of DC (BADC) an d curated by Gia Harewood\, the exhibit BLACK(ER) reprises an important exhibition from BADC's archive.

In Novembe r 2009\, Black Artists of DC (BADC) presented BLACK at th e DC Arts Center\, inviting 29 artists to interpret Black as concept\, col or\, and racial identity. As America approaches its 250th anniversary amid renewed efforts to narrow and suppress Black history\, this exhibition is reprised as BLACK(ER)\, bringing together selec t original artists and six new voices.

Curated by Gia Harewood (@g iametricart)\, the exhibition asserts continuity and presence\, framing Bl ack culture as cumulative\, resilient\, and carried forward across generat ions.
