\nWe will be reading Paige Proves It: The Mystery Monster \;by Amy Marie Stadelmann. Paige \;loves \;f acts! She records interesting information in her facts journal and shares it with anyone who will listen. Wombats&rsquo\; poop is cube-shaped! Her s treet&rsquo\;s buildings have seventy-three windows. And a boy named Penn lives next door. The two couldn&rsquo\;t be more different. The craziest t hing Paige believes is that bananas are actually berries (scientifically p roven!)\, but Penn thinks there&rsquo\;s a monster in the neighborhood! Pa ige will prove Penn wrong and that monsters aren&rsquo\;t real\, one fact at a time.
\n\nA book clu b for kids is one of the best ways to combine learning and fun. Early read ers book clubs support the emerging literacy of kids who have graduated fr om story time and are being introduced to more formal &ldquo\;learn-to-rea d&rdquo\; techniques in school. This program will introduce kids to awesom e books\, get them excited about books and reading\, and help them develop social skills through interacting with their peers.
