\nDebbie Kroopkin has been engaged in genealogical research for over 35 years and has been a part-time professional genealogist since 2010 . After serving on the Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois&rsquo\; Boa rd of Directors running their one-day conferences and other special projec ts\, she served for ten years as its President and Co-President. She is cu rrently its interim Vice President of Programming. \; \;She serves as Secretary for the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Soc ieties. Debbie has published in Avotaynu\, and has taught beginning geneal ogy to both teens and adults. \; \;She has presented at conference s\, libraries\, senior centers\, and synagogues.
