DESCRIPTION:This class dives into the ways Tarot can be used as your own p
ersonal “life coach” and a wonderful addition to any mindfulne
 ss and self-care kit..\nhttps://cuyahoga.libnet.info/event/16000313
X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Tarot has a historically mystical vibe\, b
ased largely around the notion that the cards can tell the future or are l
inked to unusual religious practices. In reality\, though\, Tarot is simpl
 y a collected and semi-codified set of archetypes\, images\, and symbols t
hat can be used for a wide variety of secular purposes. When approached as
a secular or personal spiritual tool rather than a religious practice\, T
arot provides an exciting and accessible avenue for self-discovery\, perso
nal growth\, and reflection. This class dives into the ways Tarot can be u
sed as your own personal &ldquo\;life coach&rdquo\; and a wonderful additi
on to any mindfulness and self-care kit.</p>\n<p>This 90 minute workshop w
ill briefly address the history of the Tarot\, including its origins as a
playing card game and its development into a spiritual system\, before tak
ing a deeper look at the archetypal meanings behind the Major Arcana (the
first 22 cards of the deck) and the Minor Arcana suits. Different decks wi
ll be considered to highlight differences in iconographic and symbolic app
roaches with discussion on how an individual deck might inspire deeper con
nection or alternative viewpoints. Finally\, discussion on the potential u
ses of the cards for secular or personal spiritual opportunities will enco
urage participants to consider using Tarot for journaling prompts\, intros
 pective questions\, clarified actions\, and personal empowerment.</p>\n<p>
No supplies or experience necessary. Participants are welcome to bring a j
 ournal and/or a Tarot deck if they already have their own.</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;
