In 2024\, local writer and musician Vera K ochanowsky took her first trip to Japan. It was a meaningful trip for her as she explored the language\, culture\, and people. \; After her retu rn home\, Ms. Kochanowsky studied classic Japanese literature with a conce ntration on haiku. She began composing her own haiku\, arranging her work by season\, a traditional arrangement. These works appear in her new book& nbsp\;101 Haiku: A Journ ey Through The Seasons \;(linked to catalog) released in Fall 2025. A book sale and signing will follow the author talk.
