 ean Museum\, for a vibrant family-friendly program on Saturday\, August 1\
 , 2026\, from 1&ndash\;4 PM\, celebrating Emancipation Day\, which marked 
 the end of enslavement in the English-speaking Caribbean in 1834. The prog
 ram will honor the history\, culture\, and legacy of freedom observed acro
 ss Jamaica\, Barbados\, Trinidad and Tobago\, The Bahamas\, Belize\, Guyan
 a\, Antigua and Barbuda\, Saint Kitts and Nevis\, Saint Lucia\, Saint Vinc
 ent and the Grenadines\, Grenada\, and Dominica.</p>\n<p><br />Through sto
 rytelling\, cultural exploration\, and educational activities\, this progr
 am invites all ages to experience the spirit and significance of emancipat
 ion across the region. The event will feature performances by Melo Groove 
 Steel Orchestra\, Tallawah Jamaican Folk Revue\, Mocko Jumbie Stilt Walker
 s\, and Mecca Grimo. Children's book authors Simone Russell and Djamil Nin
