The Internet can be an awesome source for fun and information\, but part of being a responsible Internet user is kno wing how to look out for Internet dangers and keep oneself safe. \;Internet Awesome \;was developed by Google and Highlights Magazine in partnership with educ ators\, researchers\, and online‑safety experts at The Net Safety C ollaborative and iKeepSafe.org. \;Over the course of two days< /strong>\, we will cover the five pillars of \;The Internet Co de of Awesome: Smart\, Alert\, Strong\, Kind\, and Brave. These l essons align with the International Society for Technology in Education st andards. \;

trusted adult.
Every participant will also leave the program with a few Internet Awesome goodies to help support their learning\, including stickers\, a bracelet\, and a special edition of Highlights Magazine. \;
\nThe content presented is \;most educationally appro priate for grades 2-6. Caregivers and family members are encourag ed to attend the program alongside their child to help support their learn ing. Please register any children who will be participating in the program . Registration is not required for caregivers or non-participating childre n.
