\nDreams Gather Here \;explores how the cult
ural memory of diasporic communities is preserved in the history of materi
al objects. Moving across geographies that include Armenia\, Syria\, Russi
a\, South America\, and the United States\, \;Emenaker&rsquo\;s \;
work reflects on how people\, objects\, and gestures carry memory through
time\, forming the foundations of new futures and new cities. Employ
ing batik (wax and dye)\, sculpture\, \;tile \;and other media\,&n
bsp\;Emenaker&rsquo\;s \;work is a meditation on diasporic architectur
e. Fragments\, inherited gestures\, and long-traveled materials converge i
n sculptural and installation-based works that speak directly to communiti
es like Los Angeles\, Moscow\, Kessab\, and Van&mdash\;cities that witness
\, absorb\, and hold countless diasporic and migratory stories and dreams.
\;
The walkthrough will take place in the \;ReflectSpace& nbsp\;gallery and the PassageWay. \;
