\nTaylor served in the U.S. Army for more than 21 years\, reti ring as a Special Forces Lieutenant Colonel. During that \;time \; he held \;numerous \;Infantry and Special Forces positions\, inclu ding eight years in 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment &ndash\; Del ta where he commanded multiple troops and a squadron. He has conducted ope rations in support of U.S. national interests in Iraq\, Afghanistan and ot her classified locations. \;
\nHis final assignment was as the A ssistant Professor of Military Science at The Citadel in Charleston\, \;SC. He holds a \;Master&rsquo\;s of Science \;in Defense Analysi s from the Naval Postgraduate School\, with a concentration in Irregular W arfare. In 2011 Taylor published his debut novel One Rough Man\, which was an immediate success and launched the Pike Logan series. Now wit h more than 19 installments the series has consistently hit the New York T imes \;bestseller list. When not writing\, he serves as a security con sultant on asymmetric threats for various agencies. He lives in Charleston with his wife and two daughters. \;
