 from&nbsp\;April through October&nbsp\;at&nbsp\;Marilyn J. Praisner Librar
 y.</p>\n<p>These volunteers have had training in soil and plant science\, 
 tree and shrub identification\, integrated pest management\, plant disease
 s\, and insect pests. Master Gardeners can help you:</p>\n<p>- Select the 
 right plants and trees for your site.<br />- Decide when and how to test y
 our soil.<br />- Feed your turf without feeding the Chesapeake Bay.<br />-
  Identify weeds\, insects and disease.<br />- Avoid blanket use of herbici
 des and pesticides.<br />- Identify and avoid killing beneficial insects.<
 br />- Learn how and when to prune your trees and shrubs.<br />- Chose the
  right mulch for your garden.<br />- Read seed catalogues.<br />- Develop

 limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Chi
 ldren attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by 
 an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an ac
 companying child.</p>\n<p>If you plan to attend with a group of ten or mor
 e\, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to disc
 uss how your group might be accommodated.</p>\n<p><strong>Accommodation Re
