With origins stretc hing very far back in Japan\, the furoshiki is a multi-purpose cloth that\ , with a few simple knots\, can be used to carry almost anything it can wr ap around - books\, bottles\, watermelons\, groceries\, and other objects. It also makes for effective and stylish wrapping cloth when giving gifts to others. Currently experiencing a renaissance in Japan as a way of avoid ing plastic bags and being environmentally sound\, the furoshiki's versati lity makes it possible to safely carry and transport things everywhere. On ly two knots are necessary to unlock this skill.
