 Project (HPP) provides legal assistance to cost-burdened senior homeowners
  in Cook County who are dealing with issues that may jeopardize their abil
 ity to keep their homes. Assistance is provided for issues such as title c
 orrection\, property tax matters and tax exemptions\, and foreclosure and 
 building code violation defense. They also work with homeowners to create 
 a succession plan so they may leave it as a legacy for their loved ones.</
 p>\n<p>This event was planned in cooperation with Age Options.</p>\n<p>SPE
 AKER BIO:</p>\n<p>Eva Adams-Ward is a Staff Attorney leading CDEL&rsquo\;s
  Housing Preservation Project. In this role\, she provides legal assistanc
 e related to homeownership concerns such as identifying and resolving titl
 e issues\, planning for succession of homes\, claiming property tax exempt
 ions\, and defending against foreclosure and building violation cases. She
  started at CDEL in 2023 as a Kott Gerontology Scholar during law school. 
 Eva joined CDEL in September 2024.</p>\n<p>Eva earned her Juris Doctor fro
 m the Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2024 and received recogni
 tion for her leadership\, and service to public interest. She received a M
 asters of Arts in Liberal Studies from Northwestern University in 2017 and
  a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio
