 h5>\n<p>Laura&nbsp\;Ramirez&nbsp\;is a local Fayetteville artist and&nbsp\
;designer\, originally from the Dominican Republic. Her studio Pattern Etc
h allows her to create and explore the world around her. The medium usuall
y varies from charcoal to acrylic to watercolors\, with the sole purpose o
f giving each pattern the exploration it deserves. The paintings come from
an ongoing study of the built environment and nature. As a trained archit
ect her work is\, for the most part\, structured and geometrical. She cons
iders her work to be based on &ldquo\;place&rdquo\;\, not a physical space
\, but the place created by experiences\, experimentation and studies of h
er surroundings whether that is the sand at the beach\, the mountains\, de
tails on a building or the woods.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><em>For disability accomm
