 duvalaudubon.org/">Duval Audubon Society's Mission:</a> Connecting people 
 with nature\, conserving and restoring natural ecosystems\, focusing on bi
 rds and other wildlife.</p>\n<p><strong>Johnna Bellen</strong> is Presiden
 t of the Duval Audubon Society and a dedicated volunteer with the Lights O
 ut Northeast Florida initiative. Through her leadership and community outr
 each\, she works to connect people with birds and the natural world while 
 advocating for practical conservation solutions in urban environments. Bel
 len is an active Lights Out Northeast Florida Rescue Walker\, participatin
 g in early morning monitoring efforts in downtown Jacksonville to document
  and recover birds that have collided with building windows during migrati
 on. The data and specimens collected through this work help raise awarenes
 s about the impact of artificial lighting and reflective glass on migrator
 y birds and support efforts to make cities safer for wildlife. She regular
 ly collaborates with community partners to promote bird conservation throu
 gh education\, outreach\, and citizen science. Through community programs\
 , Bellen shares practical ways individuals and communities can help protec
 t migratory birds and support healthier ecosystems.</p>\n<p>This is an 8-p
 art series consisting of a variety of library programs on conservation and
  the environment with the Duval Audubon Society\, North Florida Land Trust
