 and love in the predominantly Black and Jewish neighborhood of Chicken Hil
 l in Pottstown\, Pennsylvania\, starting with the discovery of a skeleton 
 in a well in 1972 that unearths long-buried stories from the 1930s\, focus
 ing on the efforts of residents\, particularly Jewish store owner Chona Lu
 dlow\, to protect a deaf Black boy from being institutionalized.&nbsp\;</p
 >\n<p>The Diversity Book Club is hosted monthly by AAUW Alexandria / Women
  Building Cross-Cultural Friendships (WBCCF) and co-sponsored by the Alexa
 ndria Burke Branch Library. WBCCF's goal is to give women the opportunity 
 in a diverse and inclusive group to enrich their own lives through these r
 elationships and help amplify the voices of all women in our community. WB
 CCF&nbsp\;believes that the opportunity to come together to explore issues
  of race\, religion\, ethnicity\, etc. through well-chosen books will not 
 only further our individual learning but also create a setting in which we
  might ultimately decide on a community undertaking with wider implication
 s.</p>\n<p>The Diversity Book Club meets on the second Monday of each mont
 h at 7 PM. This program will take place by Zoom and registration is requir
 ed. After registering with Bonnie Hershberg\, you will be emailed the link
