DESCRIPTION:Why are there so many little six-legged creatures flying\, cra
wling & buzzing around\, especially in springtime? Come learn about the im

X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>If it seems in spring like insects are eve
 rywhere\, that's because there are over 10 quintillion of them (that's 10\
,000\,000\,000\,000\,000\,000)\, with over 91\,000 different species (kind
 s) just in the US and over 1.5 million in the world! Yes\, they can be ann
oying\, irritating and even sometimes carry diseases. But they are also vi
tally important to nature\, especially in spring\, when many of them work
as pollinators\, bringing the necessary material from plant to plant to ma
ke flowers bloom. They also have many other benefits to humans and other a
nimals\, including as food!</p>\n<p>Come celebrate a belated Earth Day and
join us in investigating the flying\, crawling\, buzzing world of insects
--how they live\, what they do\, why they're so important\, and what the d
ifference is between an insect and a bug. We'll have a brief story and pre
 sentation about butterflies\, beetles\, ladybugs\, flies and bees\; have a
sing-along with fun movements\; and get a chance to make and/or color som
e insects of your own using basic craft materials. Recommended for ages 3-
 10.</p>\n<p><strong>Questions about this program?</strong>&nbsp\;Contact t
