X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Join us in this virtual event for an empow
ering conversation with health expert Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel\, bioethicist an
d oncologist\, as he shares his vision for living well and aging with purp
ose. In <em>Eat Your Ice Cream</em>\, he explores how to embrace health\,
happiness\, and longevity without falling for quick fixes or unrealistic p
romises.</p>\n<p>Everyone wants to live a full and healthy life - and ever
 y day brings a tidal wave of attention-grabbing misinformation\, faddish i
deas from &ldquo\;wellness&rdquo\; influencers\, and bizarre advice from n
ews outlets. The &ldquo\;Wellness Industrial Complex&rdquo\; prescribes co
nflicting and complicated regimens while promising us more time to enjoy i
n the future - though it sure is demanding a lot of time right now. But wh
at actually matters most to our health and longevity?&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>In<em
 > Eat Your Ice Cream</em>\, renowned physician Ezekiel J. Emanuel argues t
hat life is not a competition to live the longest and that &ldquo\;wellnes
s&rdquo\; shouldn&rsquo\;t be difficult\; it should be an invisible part o
f one&rsquo\;s lifestyle that yields maximum health benefits with the leas
t work. Dr. Emanuel cuts through the noise with wit and good humor\, givin
g readers just what they need: simple\, high-impact\, evidence-based guide
lines on such issues as alcohol consumption\, food and nutrition\, exercis
e\, sleep\, and social engagement.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Resisting the tide of th
e latest trends to extend life at all costs\, <em>Eat Your Ice Cream</em>
reveals that many of the tools for a long\, healthy\, and meaningful life
are already within reach.</p>\n<p>About the author:</p>\n<p>Ezekiel J. Ema
 nuel\, MD\, PhD\, is the Vice Provost for Global Initiatives\, the Co-Dire
ctor of the Healthcare Transformation Institute\, and a Professor at the U
niversity of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.</p>\n<p>Emanuel is
an oncologist and world leader in health policy and bioethics. He is a Spe
cial Advisor to the Director General of the World Health Organization\, Se
