 ressors that physically and mentally drain us\, and this is especially tru
 e in recent times. Thankfully\, there are several means that can help us c
 ope with these stressors and even traumas\, and writing is one of those me
 ans. Both experienced and inexperienced writers use writing as a tool to a
 chieve healing\, wellness\, and examine traumas. Writing for Wellness is n
 ot about writing to impress others or even being grammatically correct. Wr
 iting for Wellness means writing about whatever is weighing on your heart 
 and mind.</p>\n<p><em>Pens and notebooks will be provided for participants
 . You are also welcome to bring your own materials and/or a writing device
  like a laptop.</em></p>\n<p><em>&nbsp\;</em></p>\n<p>Facilitator Dominiqu
 e Weldon is a Black biracial writer who grew up in Iowa. She is a first-ge
 neration college graduate of the University of Iowa and received her MFA i
 n Fiction from Butler University\, where she served as the nonfiction edit
 or of Booth. Her work appears in Lover&rsquo\;s Eye Press\, DarkWinter Lit
 erary Magazine\, and Erato Magazine. She lives in Indiana\, where she teac
 hes at the Indiana Writers Center. She is currently working on her first n
 ovel as well as a graphic novel.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><em><strong>About the Bu
 tler MFA Community Workshop Series</strong></em><br /><em><a href="https:/
 /www.butler.edu/arts-sciences/master-fine-arts/community-workshop-series/"
 >The Butler MFA Community Workshop series</a> is a <strong>free&nbsp\;</st
 rong>writing program&nbsp\;facilitated by Butler University alumni of the 
 MFA in Creative Writing. These one-off workshops\, hosted at partner sites
  including bookstores\, nonprofits\, and public libraries in the Greater I
 ndianapolis area\, <strong>connect adults at all&nbsp\;stages&nbsp\;of the
 ir writing journeys</strong>&nbsp\;with workshop experiences shaped by gra
 duate-level study.&nbsp\;Thanks to a generous gift from the Efroymson Fami
 ly Fund\, alumni from the program's concentrations in Poetry\, Creative No
 nfiction\, and Fiction will guide local writers into creative practice. Ea
 ch workshop is designed to help <strong>participants generate new work</st
 rong>\, learn new ways of thinking about the <strong>craft of writing</str
 ong>\, and more <strong>confidently continue</strong>&nbsp\;their own writ
