 ! We&rsquo\;re so excited to commemorate this historic 250th anniversary b
 y leading a group of 250 &ldquo\;Uncle Sams&rdquo\; through Hinsdale.</p>\
 n<p><br />Staging notes:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>We will &ldquo\;stage&rdquo\; on E
 ighth St. between Garfield and Park. (Link to directions)</li>\n<li>Garfie
 ld closes at 9 a.m.\, so use Park to access our block.</li>\n<li>All parad
 e marchers must be in place by 9:30 a.m.</li>\n<li>We will take a quick gr
 oup photo at 9:40 a.m. and then line up.</li>\n<li>Parade steps off at 10 
 a.m. We&rsquo\;ll likely finish the 1.25-mile route just after 11 a.m.</li
 >\n<li>Route starts on Eighth and goes down Garfield\, First\, and Grant\,
  ending at Seventh.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Costume notes:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Libr
 ary will hand out hats and (optional) beards between 9&ndash\;9:30 a.m.</l
 i>\n<li>You are encouraged to &lsquo\;complete the look&rsquo\; with your 
 own red\, white\, and blue attire and/or to make/buy your own special hat/
 beard.</li>\n<li>The Library will also have small flags to wave for anyone
  who wants one.</li>\n<li>Our staff will take care of handing out books an
 d candy as it is very exhausting work&mdash\;we want our marchers to have 
 fun walking\, waving\, and sharing their Library spirit!</li>\n</ul>\n<p>S
 afety and parking notes:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>All marchers must stay behind the 
 Library&rsquo\;s car at all times!</li>\n<li>Parents\, please make sure ch
 ildren stay with the group and behind the car!</li>\n<li>Dress cool and co
 nsider carrying a water bottle.</li>\n<li>The parade will carry on in the 
 event of light rain\, which can be quite refreshing. In the event of sever
 e&nbsp\;weather or other last-minute changes\, we will relay delay/cancela
 tion messages from the village to the email you provide here\, and update 
 hinsdalelibrary.info/parade (this page\, which will always be up to date).
 </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Other logistical notes:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you can no long
 er attend\, you do not need to notify the Library!</li>\n<li>We recommend 
 walking to the staging area if possible\; otherwise\, drop-offs should hap
 pen at Park/Eighth\, and you can park as usual on streets east of the stag
 ing area. You may have to walk a couple blocks if you&rsquo\;re parking or
  navigate some closed roads.</li>\n<li>We will all go our separate ways at
  the end of the event&mdash\;there is no final meetup or return to the sta
 ging area. If you have anything important\, keep it with your or leave it 
 in your car/home! Similarly\, if your kids are not as excited about the pa
 rade as you expected\, you can drop out of the parade at any point where i
