X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Did you know that important dinosaur fossi
ls are being uncovered right here in Maryland?&nbsp\; Dinosaur Park in Pri
nce George's County made headlines in 2023 when scientists unearthed a 3-f
oot-long shin bone there that is believed to come from an Acrocanthosaurus
\, a meat-eating dinosaur the same size as T Rex!&nbsp\; The bone bed cont
ains specimens from the early Cretaceous.&nbsp\; Other discoveries at the
site include fossils of Priconodon (a large armored dinosaur)\, teeth from
Deinonychus (an agile hunter like Velociraptor)\, as well as fossils of p
lants and many aquatic animals like turtles\, clams\, stingrays\, and croc
odiles.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>All ages are welcome to stop by to
see fossils and speak to an expert from the park!&nbsp\; This pop-up museu
