 asurer&rsquo\;s Office\, you are invited to search the state&rsquo\;s offi
 cial unclaimed property database and receive help filing claims for any as
 sets found.</p>\n<p>The State of Illinois currently holds over $5 billion 
 in unclaimed money\, and 1 in 4 people who search discover funds owed to t
 hem. Unclaimed property can come from many everyday sources&mdash\;such as
  a forgotten ComEd deposit\, an uncashed insurance refund\, or even larger
  assets like life savings left behind after a loved one passes away.</p>\n
 <p>During this dropâ€‘in program\, a staff member from Illinois State
  Treasurer Michael W. Frerichs's Office will:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help patrons 
 search the unclaimed money database</li>\n<li>Assist with filing claims on
  the spot</li>\n<li>Provide guidance on the claim process and timelines</l
 i>\n<li>Offer updates and next steps for claims that have already been fil
 ed</li>\n</ul>\n<p>No appointment is necessary&mdash\;stop by\, search\, a
 nd find out if money is waiting for you!</p>\n<p>Photography Policy: By at
