 </strong></p>\n<p>After a career in transportation research and policy\, S
 usan Bregman has returned to her first love &ndash\; writing books and tak
 ing photographs &ndash\; with a focus on New England nostalgia.</p>\n<p>Su
 san has written four books for Arcadia Publishing: <em>New England Neon</e
 m>\, <em>New England Candlepin Bowling</em>\, <em>Along Route 1: Maine\, N
 ew Hampshire\, and Massachusetts</em>\, and <em>New England Sweets: Doughn
 uts\, Bonbons\, and Whoopie Pies</em>. Her fifth book is in the works.</p>
 \n<p>She received a bachelor&rsquo\;s degree from Brown University with a 
 concentration in linguistics and a master&rsquo\;s degree in city and regi
 onal planning from the Harvard Kennedy School. Susan loves roadside attrac
 tions\, plastic lawn flamingos\, mahjong\, and &ndash\; of course &ndash\;
  New England&rsquo\;s classic sweets and treats. She lives in Brighton.</p
