  tools that you will need to make safe and effective use of 3D printers. W
 e will collaboratively explore the 3D printing workflow\, software tools y
 ou will use\, and considerations to be aware of. Bring your questions and 
 enthusiasm!</p>\n<p>This presentation is an informational overview of the 
 3D printing process and is not considered part of the required training to
  use the Deschutes Public Library's 3D printers. Customers 17 or older tha
 t hold a valid Deschutes Public Library card can schedule a 30-minute trai
 ning appointment with a MakerSpace staff member. Once training is complete
 \, equipment is available for customers to use during Explore hours on a f
 irst-come\, first-served basis. Training appointments can be scheduled on 
 the&nbsp\;<a href="https://www.deschuteslibrary.org/services/makerspaces/"
 >MakerSpace webpage</a>.&nbsp\;Children under 17 are welcome to attend the
  training with their guardian.</p>\n<p><strong>About the Instructor:</stro
 ng></p>\n<p>Bruce Emerson has always aspired to keep learning new things a
 bout the world every day. New skills\, new ideas\, new experiences. Physic
 s provided a vehicle for feeding his curiosity through the years. Bruce re
 cently retired from teaching at COCC where he taught physics and engineeri
 ng and other topics for 30 years. Alongside the physics\, he plays trombon
 e with a number of regional groups\, gardens\, makes things\, supports his
  partner Dawn in her art making\, and volunteers in the Deschutes Public L
 ibrary MakerSpace in Redmond. He is a committed open source and open educa
 tion evangelist and believes that learning is both personal and\, at the s
