Scan old family photos and slides\, or con vert VHS and audiocassettes into digital formats. Sign up for a one-on-one session and receive your certificate of completion so you can come in for a DIY session later.
\nBring a few of your own slides\, negatives\,
sample VHS/cassette and/or print photos to scan. If bringing slides or ne
gatives\, you must also bring your own SD card.
Conversions are in re
al time (a 30 minute VHS tape will take 30 minutes to convert to an MP4 fi
le)\, so plan to digitize no more than 45 minutes of video or audio.
Bring your own SD card or USB drive\, which should have a capacity of at l
east 2 gigabytes in order to store the finished file\, if you are converti
ng VHS. Alternatively\, if you have access to cloud storage that can fit a
file of that size\, that can be used as well.

\nThe Studio is open for DIY digitizing sessions durin g library hours. Check for availability at the Newspapers and Magazines de sk on the first floor. First come\, first served. A valid library card\, a nd certificate of completion are required to gain access. \;
