 to participate! Poetry\, personal essays\, short stories\, spoken word\, a
 nd acoustic music inspired by the theme are all welcome.</p>\n<p>Whether y
 ou&rsquo\;d like to perform or simply enjoy an evening of thoughtful expre
 ssion\, we invite you to come listen\, reflect\, and celebrate the power o
 f words.</p>\n<p>Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is enco
 uraged but not required.</p>\n<p>As this is an open mic event\, content is
  not pre-screened. Some material may not be suitable for all ages. Parenta
