X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>The Hugos are one of the most prestigious
awards for Science Fiction and Fantasy media\, and one of only a few major
awards that are actually voted on by readers! Let's get together to discu
ss current and potential future Hugo Award nominees and decide whether we
would vote for them or not.</p>\n<p>The book selection for July is <em>The
  Everlasting</em>&nbsp\;by Alix E. Harrow.</p>\n<p>Sir Una Everlasting was
Dominion&rsquo\;s greatest hero: the orphaned girl who became a knight\,
who died for queen and country. Her legend lives on in songs and stories\,
in children&rsquo\;s books and recruiting posters―but her life as
it truly happened has been forgotten.&nbsp\;Centuries later\, Owen Mallory
―failed soldier\, struggling scholar―falls in love with the
tale of Una Everlasting. Her story takes him to war\, to the archivesâ€
•and then into the past itself. Una and Owen are tangled together in tim
e\, bound to retell the same story over and over again\, no matter what it
costs.&nbsp\;But that story always ends the same way. If they want to rew
rite Una&rsquo\;s legend―if they want to tell a different story--th
ey&rsquo\;ll have to rewrite history itself.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>For teen and
up readers. Books can be checked out at any NLRPLS library location or on
line on the Libby app. We meet at Pocket Dimension Bookshoppe in North Lit
tle Rock. Parking is available along Main Street or in a lot next to the s
hop along 9th Street. There are also other parking lots close by\, includi
ng one at the bus stop on the corner. Food is available to order in from C
averns &amp\; Forests next door. Feel free to plan to eat dinner there or
just come for the discussion! For more information\, contact Megan at mhin
 es@nlrlibrary.org. No registration required.</p>\nhttps://lamanlibrary.lib
