 <p><em>About our speaker</em></p>\n<p><em><strong>Mark Thompson</strong> i
 s a life-long NJ resident and retired research librarian. He worked&nbsp\;
 at AT&amp\;T\, public libraries\, and was Learning Resources Director at M
 iddlesex County Library. Mark is also a gourd crafter\, growing\, carving 
 and creating birdhouses\, canteens\, and bowls made from dried gourds and 
 pressed flowers. He and his wife\, Joan\, are also professional musicians\
 , have performed together\, and currently enjoy singing in choir concerts
