X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Kindness rarely blossoms all at once. It g
rows quietly\, in how we notice\, how we relate\, how we stay\, and how we
express our intrinsic wisdom of caring.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>This four session
series explores four essential facets of the expansive mind:heart. Appreci
ative Joy\, Friendship\, Equanimous Care\, and Compassion are supportive q
ualities shared in yogic traditions for nurturing mental-emotional well-be
ing and present awareness.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><br />Contemplative ways of work
ing with these innate attitudes are relational. They allow for subtle shif
ts in inner perspective that can restore a sense of inner freedom. Less ab
out self-improvement\, forcing certain ways of being\, or fixing an emotio
n\, these are practices that cultivate conditions for being with the heart
in all its phases - both open and closed. By training subtle ways of disr
upting inner/outer harm\, they allow intrinsic care to emerge - to bloom -
naturally. &nbsp\;</p>\n<p><br />Shared practices will include mindful wa
lking\, stillness practices - seated &amp\; laying down\, and formal varia
tions of loving-kindness meditation inspired by modern mindfulness traditi
ons and lineages of Buddha dharma. Beginners and long-time practitioners a
 re welcome alike! No prior experience with meditation is necessary.&nbsp\;
</p>\n<p>This series is a community fundraiser for the VVS Imagination Lib
rary. Suggested Donation (non-obligatory): $36 for the full series - enoug
h to sponsor a local child for the VVS Imagination Library for an entire y
ear. No one will be turned away for lack of donation.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Donat
