Can a single line hold an entire story? In this interactive workshop\, participants will explore the monostich: a on e-line poem that distills emotion\, image\, and voice into a single powerf ul statement. Through examples\, generative prompts\, and guided exercises \, writers will experiment with compression\, surprise\, and voice to craf t their own monostich poems. The session will emphasize play\, experimenta tion\, and community sharing\, and is accessible for writers of all levels . \;
\nAdrian Gaston Garcia (aka AGG) is a queer Latine storytel ler whose mission is to share narratives that build and nourish community. Originally from Chicago and now rooted in Washington\, D.C. for the past 15 years\, Adrian draws inspiration from theater\, spoken word\, and the i ntersectionality of his lived experience. His work is a love letter to his younger self\, an ode to femininity\, softness\, and survival and a shout out to all the queer brown boys who choose joy as their form of resistanc e.
