  a community townhall at the Takoma Park Neighborhood Library on Saturday\
 , May 16\, from 10:30am-2pm in the large meeting room\, to learn about ran
 ked choice voting (RCV) and prepare for the upcoming elections.</p>\n<p>Th
 e townhall will feature a presentation by DCBOE\, Q&amp\;A\, and hands-on 
 practice. Presentation times are 11am and 2pm. You can submit questions in
  advance to rcv@dcboe.org. Reservations are encouraged but not required.</
 p>\n<p>Drop in at any time to learn more about RCV so you can be prepared 
 for the upcoming elections.</p>\n<h4><span style="text-decoration: underli
 ne\;">What is Ranked Choice Voting?</span></h4>\n<p>Ranked choice voting i
 s a voting method that allows voters to rank candidates in order of prefer
 ence. Beginning with the June 2026 Elections\, RCV will be used in DC for 
 eligible contests with three or more candidates. Voters may rank up to fiv
 e candidates\, including write-in candidates.</p>\n<p>RCV allows your vote
  to count towards another candidate if your first-choice candidate does no
 t receive enough votes and is eliminated from future rounds of tabulation.
