In recognition of the upcoming 250th anniv ersary of the United States\, DC Public Library is partnering with Story D istrict to invite residents to share your stories about why you love D.C.!
\nJoin us at the Francis Gregory Neighborhood Library on Thursday\, July 9\, at 6pm to learn the fundamentals of personal narrative while exp loring your own experiences of showing up for your community and being par t of the evolving story of D.C. Through guided exercises\, you'll identify source material from your life\, practice in pairs and small groups\, and receive optional feedback in a supportive environment. The program will o ccur in Meeting Room 1.
\nThe I LOVE D.C. storytelling swap is an op portunity for residents to reflect on the everyday acts of participation\, community-building\, and civic engagement that shape our shared democracy . Instead of focusing on historic milestones\, this program highlights the stories of ordinary people&mdash\;neighbors\, caregivers\, volunteers\, o rganizers\, and engaged citizens&mdash\;whose contributions form the backb one of civic life.
\nAll are invited to join even if you've never 't old' a story before. Reservations are encouraged but not required. \;& nbsp\;
