  of the Freedmen&rsquo\;s Bureau can help researchers uncover the lives\, 
 relationships\, labor\, education\, migration\, and community-building eff
 orts of formerly enslaved people and their families after the Civil War. W
 e will examine the Bureau&rsquo\;s role during Reconstruction and the wide
  variety of records it created\, including labor contracts\, marriage reco
 rds\, rations and hospital records\, complaints\, court records\, school r
 eports\, letters\, registers\, and field office correspondence.</p>\n<p>An
 nette Burke Lyttle\, CG&reg\; owns Heritage Detective\, LLC\, providing pr
 ofessional genealogical services in research\, education\, and writing. Sh
 e speaks on a variety of genealogical topics and loves helping people unco
 ver and share their family stories. Annette is a course coordinator for th
 e Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy. She is a published writer whose resear
 ch interests include Quaker ancestors and ancestral migrations in the Unit
 ed States. She is past president of the Association of Professional Geneal
 ogists and editor of The Florida Genealogist.</p>\n<p><strong>This program
  is made possible by a grant from the Mellon Foundation.</strong></p>\n<p>
 Registration is required for this event\, and must be completed two hours 
 prior to the start time. A library card and PIN are required for registrat

 /p>\n<p>All registered seats will be forfeited at 10:25 a.m. and made avai
