John Adam Wasowicz has lived in the Alexan dria section of Fairfax County for 40 years. He has practiced law in the p ublic and private sectors since 1985\, including service as an Asst. Commo nwealth Attorney.
\nHis first book\, &ldquo\;Daingerfield Island\,&r dquo\; published in 2017\, introduced readers to the main character: attor ney Mo Katz. Since then\, Wasowicz has written seven additional mysteries tracing the adventures of Katz and his entourage as they solve crimes thro ughout Old Town Alexandria.
\nThe eighth book in the series - "Patri ots Circle" - is out on June 15\, 2026.
\nWasowicz describes himself as "an old school mystery writer" influenced by Agatha Christie and Raymo nd Chandler\, who he describes as two of the great masters of the genre. H e has lectured at several \;Lifelong Learning Institute \;programs in Virginia about how writing keeps the mind agile as one ages. \;
