 n<p>What is a Fixit Clinic?&nbsp\;It's an opportunity for neighbors to hel
 p neighbors and teach skills for living all while keeping items out of the
  landfills and pushing against throwaway culture.</p>\n<p>Volunteers will 
 help with repairs for:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bike maintenance</li>\n<li>Blade and
  knife sharpening</li>\n<li>Computer diagnostics and updates</li>\n<li>Ele
 ctronics and small appliances</li>\n<li>Furniture</li>\n<li>Jacket zipper 
 replacement and outerwear patches courtesy of&nbsp\;<strong><a href="https

 a.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Patagonia Old Town</a></strong></li
 >\n<li>Mending cloth items</li>\n<li>Visible mending on knit items</li>\n<
 li>Watches and clocks</li>\n<li>Yarn detangling</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PLUS there
  will be a&nbsp\;Kids' Take-It-Apart Table&nbsp\;(all ages) for curious mi
 nds and future fixers to try out tools and see what's inside some everyday
  items.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><br />Before&nbsp\;heading to a Fixit Station\,&nbs
 p\;first&nbsp\;check-in at the&nbsp\;Welcome Table&nbsp\;to sign the Liabi
 lity Waiver and pick up your repair card. We will have limited parts for r
 epairs available. If you know the part your item needs\, please bring it w
 ith you.&nbsp\;</p>\n<h3>Fixit Clinic Rules</h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Check in at th
 e Welcome Table to sign the Liability Waiver and get instructions on where
  to go.&nbsp\;</li>\n<li>There is a limit of two items for repair per visi
 tor. *More items may be considered as space and time allows.&nbsp\;</li>\n
 <li>A Fixit Clinic is not a drop-off service. Remain with your item(s) at 
 all times.</li>\n<li>Repair coaches are not liable for damages or unrepair
 ed items brought in. This is a free\, community-focused service\, not a fo
 r-profit event.</li>\n<li>When you are with your repair coach\, you can ch
 oose to: a) watch as the repair is attempted\, b) work with the repair coa
 ch or c) attempt the repair yourself under the guidance of a repair coach.

 s to the Kate Waller Barrett Branch\, Alexandria Library\, offer broken it
 ems for repair at your own risk\; volunteers performing repairs make no gu
 arantees and are not liable for condition of broken items. Volunteer Fixit
  Coaches reserve the right to refuse repairs on any items deemed unsafe\, 
 unrepairable or for any other reason. Repairs are attempted at the volunte
