  session\, participants will understand basic anime and manga proportions 
 and be able to draw a face with correct structure. They will learn how to 
 create expressive eyes\, hair\, and features\, and will design a full char
 acter including the head and upper body. Participants will also add simple
  details to give their character personality.</p>\n<p><strong>Presenter In
 formation:&nbsp\;</strong><em><strong>Mahdi Mahdian</strong>&nbsp\;is a vi
 sual artist. He earned his BFA in Painting from the University of Tehran i
 n 2013\, where he studied within a modern curriculum that combined traditi
 onal and contemporary approaches. In 2016\, he completed a Master&rsquo\;s
  degree at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts in Ukraine\, recei
 ving strong training in academic drawing and classical figurative painting
 . In 2025\, he earned his MFA in Visual Arts from the University of Regina
 \, where his work evolved into a more expressive and conceptually driven e
 xploration of narrative painting\, with an emphasis on self-portraiture.</
 em></p>\n<p><em>Mahdi&rsquo\;s recent practice focuses on representational
  painting\, particularly large-scale\, life-size self-portraits that explo
 re themes of masculinity\, vulnerability\, and cultural displacement. Draw
 ing from Persian mythology\, historical narratives\, and personal experien
 ce\, his work combines technical precision with symbolic storytelling. He 
 currently lives and works in Regina\, Saskatchewan.</em></p>\n<p><em>Websi
