 e Kenton County Historical Society will be coming to do a talk on his book
 \,&nbsp\;<em>The Beverly Hills Supper Club: The Untold Story Behind Kentuc
 ky's Worst Tragedy</em>.</p>\n<p>This presentation covers a short history 
 of Newport&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Sin-City&rdquo\; era and discusses the history
  of the club\, from the illegal gambling casino of the 1930s-1960s to the 
 club&rsquo\;s rebirth in the 1970s. The tragic fire on May 28\, 1977\, whi
 ch killed 165 people\, is covered in great detail\, as is the initial inve
 stigation to determine a cause. The more recent re-investigation is also d
 iscussed.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong><a href="https://www.cc-pl.org/friends"
 >The Friends of the Campbell County Public Library</a> will hold their ann
 ual meeting at 6:45 pm. Come early to attend the meeting and stay afterwar
