\nThis workshop takes place from July 27th to 31st from 10:30 a m to 4:30 pm daily at the George Bothwell \;Branch Library.
\nAt this workshop\, up to 14 aspiring teen writers will have an opportunity to develop their creative writing skills with professional writer Shane Arbuthnott as the instructor. \;You will be guided thro ugh writing activities in various genres (e.g.\, poetry\, fiction) and wil l have the opportunity to discuss the writing life\, professional pathways \, and publication with the instructors.
\nYou do not have to plan t o become a professional writer to attend a Sage Hill Youth Workshop. You j ust need to enjoy creative writing and have a desire to develop your skill s. \;

\nShane Arbuthnot t \;is the author of \;Guardians of Porthaven\, as well as the Mol ly Stout series. His debut novel\, \;Dominion\, was nominated for mult iple awards\, including the Kobo Emerging Writer Prize. His short fiction has appeared in On Spec and Open Spaces.
