Help get your preschooler ready for kinder garten by building essential skills across five early learning domains. Ki ndergarten readiness is about what kids should know and be able to do when they start \;kindergarten. It refers to a child&rsquo\;s readiness to make a smooth and successful transition and \;integration into the ki ndergarten environment. This includes skills like letter recognition\, ide ntifying colors\, counting\, and even gross motor skills.
\nThrough a short circle time and self-led\, play-based activity stations\, children will work toward increasing these skills. Caregivers will encourage their children as they play. If desired\, they will have the opportunity to lea rn more about the skills their child is building.
\nThis program is recommended for children aged 3 to 5. \;
\nLibrary Program Atten dance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within t he suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a pro gram intended for children must have an accompanying child.
\nIf you plan to attend with a group of ten or more\, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be acco mmodated.
