 bsp\;by Suzanne Mosley</p>\n<p><strong>Artist Statement:</strong></p>\n<p
 style="padding-left: 30px\;"><em>&ldquo\;The substitute connections that w
e seek are not the true connections that we crave."</em> - Marko Radic</p>
\n<p style="padding-left: 30px\;">Suzanne Mosley has pulled work from diff
erent collections to represent the simple things that we often forget in a
world intent on drowning us in the false dramas perpetuated by social med
ia. These pieces represent her desire to pull us back to both personal and
  communal balance\,</p>\n<p style="padding-left: 30px\;">Walking down a wi
nding path that opens up to a breathtaking canyon.</p>\n<p style="padding-

ou flip to the next chapter.</p>\n<p style="padding-left: 30px\;">Curling
up on the sofa with your dog as it looks soulfully into your eyes\, hoping
your going to share that dinner.</p>\n<p style="padding-left: 30px\;">As
you walk through the gallery\, Mosley hopes that it gives you a feeling of
comfort in a world that can feel so overwhelming.</p>\n<p><strong>Artist
 Bio:&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p style="padding-left: 30px\;">Suzanne Mosley d
raws inspiration for her art mainly from the world that surrounds us.&nbsp
 \; Concerned with both the environment and social justice\, Mosley&rsquo\;
s art has evolved as a means of raising awareness about important social i
ssues. Many of her most recent works center on current environmental issue
s\, including the impact of climate change on animals and their natural ha
bitats. From paintings of endangered species to visions of these at-risk h
abitats\, Mosley hopes to bring both awareness and beauty to the multiple
challenges we face in today&rsquo\;s environment. She engages the deep rel
axing colors and tones found in nature\, while finding joy in the beauty o
f the outdoors. Beyond the natural world\, Mosley also is motivated by con
cerns for equality and the humanity that binds us all. With a range of app
roaches that reaches from contemporary abstract to impressionistic art\, s
he engages colors\, textures\, and subjects from a variety of surroundings
. She draws her vision from people and places that speak to her. &nbsp\;</
 p>\n<p style="padding-left: 30px\;">Mosley&rsquo\;s interest in art starte
d as a young child in Little Rock\, Arkansas\, where she currently resides
. She found enjoyment working alongside her father in his wood shop\, crea
ting small projects that eventually led to some pieces of furniture that r
emain in her home today. Mosley began more formal training in painting und
er the tutelage of William McClanahan\, a local accomplished watercolorist
\, during her teenage years. After high school\, she took a break to focus
on a career outside of the Arts. &nbsp\;Missing a creative outlet to expr
ess visually what she saw in the world\, Mosley started painting again ten
years ago.</p>\n<p style="padding-left: 30px\;">Mosley has had work exhib
ited in multiple galleries and sold many pieces through galleries and her
home studio art shows. She also works with local interior designers on com
mission work. Additionally\, two of her pieces of art were showcased in Pr
ogressive Insurance Company&rsquo\;s biannual art exhibit\, where they wer
e placed on tour throughout its corporate offices.</p>\n<p style="padding-
left: 30px\;">Mosley&rsquo\;s home studio is a place where she relaxes aft
er her full-time job and escapes into her true passion of painting. She ch
ooses oil as her main medium\, but also experiments in mixed media pieces.
&nbsp\; She is often joined in her studio by one of her muses\, her studio
sidekick Milkdud\, who is her trusted miniature Dachshund.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;<
