Join Artist-In-Residence\, Sarah Louise Wi ndisch for a fun printmaking class where we&rsquo\;ll break out of single- color printing by using some fun techniques that Sarah has honed during he r years of printmaking. We&rsquo\;ll have carved blocks on hand that you c an use\, or you can carve or bring your own blocks. We will experiment wit h multiple color printing and using stencils and other materials to create some cool effects without having to do a complicated reduction print. Thi s is a way to take your block printing to a new level.
\nWe will sup ply all materials though you can bring your own pre-carved block if you ha ve one you want to work with. Beginners are welcome.
\nAbout Sarah: Sarah Louise Windisch is a print maker\, shirt-slinger\, and recovering music teacher turned full-time art goblin. She says about her work\, &ldquo\;My work lives somewhere between rebellion and ridiculous joy. I carve lino blocks\, sling ink\, and press out limited-run prints that are loud\, handmade\, and a little feral&mdash \;just the way I like it.&rdquo\; Her residency at the Hive went way too f ast but she is looking forward to teaching and sharing her love of color a nd printmaking with class attendees!
