The People's Town Hall is a free\, nonpart isan community candidate forum bringing together congressional and state l egislative candidates\, community organizations\, local media\, and reside nts to discuss issues affecting the Spokane region ahead of the August pri mary election.
\nCandidates running for Congressional District 5 and Legislative Districts 3\, 4\, and 6 have been invited to participate. Unl ike many traditional candidate forums\, the People's Town Hall features qu estions submitted by community organizations and residents\, helping ensur e the discussion reflects issues that matter most to the community.
\n< p>The event will also feature live music by When She Dreams beginning at 1 2:00 PM\, a live broadcast by KYRS Community Radio\, ASL interpretation\, childcare\, food provided by Lilac Mutual Aid\, and a donation drive suppo rting Lilac Mutual Aid's ongoing work serving Spokane community members ex periencing housing insecurity.\nHosted by Spokane People's Calendar in partnership with Spokane Public Library\, KYRS Community Radio\, and o ther local organizations\, the People's Town Hall is designed to encourage informed civic engagement and meaningful community dialogue ahead of the election.
