X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Workshop 1 &mdash\; See It Differently: Th
e Language of the Frame</p>\n<p>Every shot tells a story before a single w
ord is spoken. In this first workshop\, students are introduced to the gra
mmar of visual storytelling &mdash\; exploring the seven core visual eleme
 nts of filmmaking: color\, space\, line\, shape\, movement\, rhythm\, and
 tone. Through film clips\, hands-on exercises\, and discussion\, participa
nts begin to recognize how directors use the frame as a compositional tool
and how point of view shapes the emotional experience of the viewer. By t
he end\, students will shoot their own short sequence using intentional ca
mera choices\, bringing theory into immediate practice.</p>\n<p>Workshop 2
&mdash\; Cut to the Truth: Editing and the Montage</p>\n<p>Film lives in
the edit. In this second workshop\, students get hands-on with Adobe Premi
ere Pro &mdash\; learning the interface\, timeline workflow\, and essentia
l cutting techniques while diving into one of cinema&rsquo\;s most powerfu
l ideas: the montage. From Eisenstein to music videos to modern trailers\,
we study how the collision of images creates meaning greater than any sin
gle shot. Students will edit a short montage sequence from provided footag
e\, developing both technical fluency and editorial instinct in a single s
ession.</p>\n<p>Workshop 3 &mdash\; The Future of the Frame: AI Filmmaking
  + 3D Animation</p>\n<p>As a culminating bonus session\, students take a f
orward-looking look at the tools reshaping visual storytelling. We survey
the emerging landscape of AI filmmaking &mdash\; exploring text-to-video t
ools\, generative imagery\, and how working directors are beginning to int
egrate these technologies into their workflows. Students also get an intro
 ductory look at Blender\, the industry-standard open-source 3D animation p
latform\, experimenting with basic scene-building and animation. Equal par
ts inspiration and experimentation\, this workshop asks the central questi
on: what does it mean to be a filmmaker when the tools are changing this f
 ast?</p>\nhttps://hplct.libnet.info/event/16575585
