In recognition of upcoming National Senior Citizens Day\, come join us to recognize the signs of dementia and discov er tips on the ways to communicate with a loved one who has dementia. \; This program is part of Montgomery County's Dementia Friendly initiativ e\, which aims to make our community "dementia friendly"\, meaning all mem bers of society are welcoming and understanding of what dementia is\, what it looks like\, and how to interact and keep those with dementia continue d valued members of society. \; The presentation is provided by volunt eers from the Aging and Disability Services\, Area Agency on Aging\, Montg omery County Department of Health and Human Services.

\nLibrary Program Attendance (both virtual and i n the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must b e accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for childre n must have an accompanying child.
